Firstly, a warm welcome to Witches Falls Cottages
The individual stone lodges that form Witches Falls Cottages on Tamborine Mountain, are ideally located in secluded, sun-dappled peace alongside Australia’s oldest National Park, yet only a short walk to wineries, galleries and North Tamborine village.
We have detailed below some information about us both so that you can get to know us a little better prior to coming up to meet us in person! As a lot of guests ask us about the history and background of Witches Falls Cottages we have added some information below.
David and Daniela's Tree-Change to Tamborine Mountain
David and I feel sure that our delightful cottages will weave their magic on you, just as they did on us back in 2007 when we first came to view the property. At that time we longed for a change of pace and environment and found our tree-change here, in the sanctuary of Witches Falls Cottages.
Living on the mountain is wonderful and has enabled us to realise many life-long aspirations. These include my wish to dedicate more time to photography, David’s desire to craft stone and precious metals into objects of art and our shared dream of growing and managing a successful business.
Winning the Queensland Tourism Award in 2010 was, therefore, immensely satisfying, as was participating in the recent ‘Studios of the Scenic Rim Artists’ Collective’. Our Open Studio gave visitors the chance to view my photography as well as David’s jewellery and the unique stone coasters he creates.
David and I thank you for visiting us online and we look forward to welcoming you in person very soon. The charm and beauty of our cottages, the splendid location and our award-winning, yet relaxed and unpretentious, service await you.

History of Witches Falls Cottages
'Witches Falls Cottages' with their very distinctive five stone gabled Mountain Cottages opened the doors to the public on New Years Day in 2000.
Part of Witches Falls Cottages then was a little Japanese Restaurant which was located in the Main House. When you now walk up to the reception you walk past the windows of what used to be the ‘Ozen Dining Room’ and which is now our living room. You can still see the big 'Spinner Fireplace' in the middle of the room.
In 2008 we closed Witches Falls Cottages for a few months for major refurbishment and to make some innovating changes to the cottages.
We added glass extensions to the bathrooms which are surrounded by a fenced garden to give you absolute privacy. The Bathrooms are now filled with light and the spas even though they are very comfortable double spas use much less water than the previous corner spas and there is a separate shower.
On the other side of the cottage we created a private courtyard garden with a covered BBQ area and an outdoor sitting area which allows you to stay in, prepare a meal and have a glass of wine without having to worry about driving.
We were very careful to keep the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Witches Falls Cottages whilst adding our ideas to it and we do believe we have achieved that very well.
We are constantly upgrading our services and adding new accommodation packages. Already we have a bunch of new ideas for this year to continue to add to the successful history of Witches Falls Cottages. The newest addition are our own postcards!
