Witches Cycling Trail
The COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped our lives in many ways and an increasing number of people have rediscovered walking and biking. Moving at a slower pace allows you to 'stop and smell the roses' as you pay more attention to the countryside and little treasures along the way.
At Witches Falls Cottages we encourage you to bring your bikes along for your autumn getaway. Each cottage has a bull nose veranda, ideal for you to park your pushbike during your stay.
To make it easy for you to explore the Mountain with your push bike we have put together a cycling itinerary for our guests. Along the itinerary we point out scenic photo opportunities, bushwalks for the really active guests, points of interest for a little bit of Mountain history and of course there is shopping and plenty of opportunities for catering and stock up on provisions.
Pick and choose along the way according to your interests. If you want to do it all you could even break the itinerary into smaller sections and spend a couple of days exploring the Mountain.

Hinze Dam with View Cafe (half an hours drive)
Bicycle Access – Make A Day Of It.
The Hinze Dam bike trails provide many biking options accessible to the public by attending at the Hinze Dam Visitor Centre, and then a short ride along the top of the dam wall.
It’s a perfect day out and there’s nothing like a good day riding on the trails working up a hunger, followed up by a scrumptious meal and a cold beer at the View Café.
There is an easy biking loop called the "Family Loop" which is well signed and located within the centre of all the trails. Heading east takes riders on an undulating section with beautiful views of the water.
For a challenge to those sturdier of constitution, there is the six (6) kilometre loop that descends west and provides a challenging climb back up and out, and can be ridden in either direction. Half-way around this section riders will find toilet facilities, tank water and the riding club race day facilities.
